About Enterprising NONPROFITS
First Business, in partnership with the Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin and Insight Publications, is excited to host Enterprising NONPROFITS. This all-day interactive. This all-day interactive conference allows for-profit and nonprofit business leaders, executive directors, business development directors and volunteer coordinators to collaborate and share best practices. The Northeast Wisconsin’s nonprofit community is integral to our day-to-day quality of life and long-term success.
This year’s line-up includes morning keynote speaker Dierdre Maloney who will present “Mission Myth: Using the New Normal to Get Ahead”. Things will never be the same for nonprofits (or for-profits for that matter!). The unpredictable economy, never-ending politics and cautionary tales or organizations gone away mean that everyone – including donors – are paying more attention than ever before. Ms. Maloney will share best practices and proven tips learned the hard way to help you bust the Mission Myth, exceed your goals… and sleep better at night.
After the morning keynote, the day will be broken down into breakout sessions in the morning and afternoon, followed by an afternoon keynote speaker, Chad Herschner where he will discuss Local Donor Relationships. The morning breakout session topics include: Cyber Security, Becoming a More Effective Board Member, Shifting your Mindset: Focusing on Engaging Your Community, and The Great Paradox: Boards and Fundraising. After lunch, the sessions include: Step Up Your Planned Giving – Tools for Success for Board Members, How to Embrace Technology to Build a Connected Nonprofits, Enlightened Leadership, and a Nonprofit Roundtable.
Registration is open. Tickets include access to all speakers, lunch, and a cocktail hour. All proceeds from the event will benefit the mission work of the Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin.
