Milwaukee County Board proposes sweeping reform with budget and pay cuts

The Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors proposed Thursday a set of sweeping reforms that would result in a 50 percent cut in the county board budget, including a 20 percent reduction in supervisors’ pay.

The initiatives were announced in an "Our Milwaukee County" listening session Thursday night. The package of reforms will also include government streamlining, mandatory training for county supervisors to clarify roles and responsibilities in county governance.
