Milwaukee Common Council votes against Kenosha casino
Not surprisingly, the members of Milwaukee’s Common Council have voted unanimously to oppose the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin’s planned $808 million casino project in Kenosha.
On a vote of 15-0, the Common Council voted in favor of a resolution that calls on Gov. Scott Walker to reject the casino proposed for the former Dairyland Greyhound Park property. The council is concerned about job losses the casino may cause in the Milwaukee area, where the Forest County Potawatomi Community operatesÃ¢;Â€Â¦;
