Channel 4's 10 p.m. news wins key demographic

After the 10 p.m. newscast on WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) finished second in the overall February ratings sweeps, executives at the Milwaukee NBC station were pleased to see the newscast won the crucial 25-to-54-year-old audience demographic in that time slot.

Advertisers typically base commercial-buying decisions on audience-size measures of age and gender. WISN-TV (Channel 12) won the total-household ratings, which are released earlier than the new demographic breakouts.
