For: Food Industry COOs, VPs of Operations, Quality Practitioners, Managers One of the key elements within the US FDA activities related to the Food Safety Modernization Act is the close communication with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The FDA recognizes the work already done by the global food, feed and packaging industry in developing competent food, feed and packaging safety schemes, so certification by a competent certification body to a GFSI recognized schemes will be looked on favorably by the FDA in their risk assessments. This presentation will provide an executive overview that will enable you to make informed choices between the major GFSI recognized schemes. Discussion time will be allocated following the presentation to answer questions or concerns with GFSI recognized scheme certification.
