(APPLETON, WI) - March 7, 2014 – First Business is pleased to launch Enterprising Nonprofits: an initiative to provide opportunities for for-profit and nonprofit business leaders to network, collaborate, and share best practices.
“Local nonprofits are changing lives in our community, and it is our job to support their efforts,” stated Julia Drobeck, Executive Director of the Volunteer Center of East Central WI. “This support allows the nonprofits to serve more people, provide more meals, educate more children, keep more families together, make more people feel safe, and advocate for a better community for all of us.”
“We take this responsibility seriously,” stated Mickey Noone, President of First Business Bank – Northeast. “That’s why we reached out to the Volunteer Center to develop and launch Enterprising Nonprofits. This initiative will support our community through education, connections, and collaboration.”
As part of the launch, the first annual event has been set. 2014 Enterprising Nonprofits Conference will be an all-day event designed to connect nonprofits, business leaders, and volunteers in Northeast Wisconsin. The event is scheduled for May 21, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton.
