First Business Bank recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of your personal information. First Business Bank does not share any former or present client information with nonaffiliated third parties, except as permitted by law. We recognize your right to privacy at First Business Bank. You have the right to expect your personal financial information will remain private and secure. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is your trust. We understand the need to safeguard your sensitive information that you have entrusted to us within our companies and banks.

CATEGORIES OF NONPUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION FIRST BUSINESS BANK COLLECTS

We collect, and retain information about you only for specific business purposes and from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency

CATEGORIES OF AFFILIATES TO WHOM FIRST BUSINESS BANK DISCLOSES

Within First Business, we may share information so that we can work together to serve you. We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, within affiliated First Business companies. These companies are financial service providers such as securities broker-dealers, and leasing companies. By law, information that helps us identify you or is derived from your transactions and experiences with us may be shared among the First Business companies.

OUR MAINTENANCE OF ACCURATE INFORMATION

We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records are inaccurate or incomplete, please notify us at your earliest convenience. We will investigate your concerns and update our records accordingly.

LIMITATIONS ON EMPLOYEE ACCESS TO INFORMATION

At First Business Bank, employee access to personally identifiable client information is limited to those with a business reason to know such information. Employees are trained on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of client information and on these Privacy Principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all First Business Bank employees are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of client information. Failure to comply with these principles would subject our employees to disciplinary action.

SECURITY PROCEDURES TO PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

First Business Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to client information only in accordance with our internal security standards and to comply with federal standards.

MAINTAINING YOUR PRIVACY IN BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS WITH PARTIES OUTSIDE OUR AFFILIATED BANKS AND COMPANIES

To assist us in offering you services, First Business Bank occasionally conducts business with third parties, such as a check printer or a data processor that provides support or services for one or more of our products. We require that our vendors and suppliers maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy or personally identifiable client information provided to them. They are obligated to keep the information that we provide to them confidential.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO PARTIES OUTSIDE OUR AFFILIATED BANKS AND COMPANIES:

We do not reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to parties outside our affiliated banks and companies for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau, or similar information reporting agency in accordance with standard banking industry practice; (3) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; or (4) the disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required.

We do not share any nonpublic personal information about our client or former clients to any nonaffiliated third party, except as permitted by law.
