Milwaukee 'job sprawl' high, but it's no Detroit or Chicago

The recession might have slowed the exodus of downtown jobs to the outlying suburbs, but Milwaukee still has one of the higher rates of â;€Âoe;job sprawl,â;€Â; according to an analysis by the Brookings Institution.

The report from the Washington, D.C.-based group found the share of metropolitan jobs located in or near a downtown declined in 91 of the nationâ;€™s 100 largest metropolitan areas during the past decade.
