The Reality of Business Fraud
Your business may become a target of the increase in both fraud attempts and, unfortunately, successes, as criminals increase their business fraud activity. Business owners who place too much trust in others or do not pay enough attention to their financial activities are prime targets as are those who think that fraud cannot happen to them.
First Business is proud to sponsor this complimentary educational event which will focus on asset misappropriation, expose the risks of business fraud, and give real-life stories and instructions on prevention. Our speakers, Paul Rodrigues, CPA, MST, CFE, CFF, Principal, and Dave Friedman, CPA, CFE, CFF, Partner, both of Chortek & Gottschalk, LLP, will also explain how to partner with banks and utilize established tools like "Positive Pay" and "Automatic Clearinghouse (ACH) Filters" to help detect fraud and provide business owners with some protection.
