Manufacturing Matters - Quality/Regulatory/Legal by Charles P. Stevens

For: HR VPs, Directors, & Managers

And What We Can Do To Weather the Storm

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed health insurance reform legislation into law that will affect every employer and individual across the country.

This interactive session in features attorney Charles Stevens of Michael Best & Friedrich. Stevens will explore the details of the new health care law, short-term and long-term changes that all will experience as different parts of the law become effective, and practical issues associated with health coverage under the new law, new guidance being issued by the Government, and the possible "chess moves" that may be taken by proponents and opponents of the law.

The presentation will explore these elements of the new law and many others in detail and will also offer practical tips on the requirements that take effect in 2012 and later years.

Finally the presentation will offer insight concerning Supreme Court and election year impacts on the law.

Charles P. Stevens: My focus is on the problems employers and particularly manufacturers have faced and will continue to face as The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act continues to evolve since its enactment in March of 2010. Significant regulatory involvement from the federal government will cause uncertainty and expense on top of increased health insurance expenses.
