A Brief Overview of Google Analytics
If you are an experienced analyst of web performance, this brief overview is definitively not for you. However, if you are not sure where your web traffic comes from, how to improve it, how web advertising works, or how to increase sales, then this session will be helpful.
Tim Keane, founder of Retail Target Marketing Systems, is a hands-on Google Analytics user for several of his business clients. He will present an introductory overview with examples of how web analytics can give you more information about your website and ultimately improve results.
He will discuss: incorporating Google Analytics in your website; understanding sources of traffic, time on site, and depth of visits; how Google adwords works; and the major features available in Google Analytics.
Tim Keane is the Director of Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship and the Golden Angels Network at Marquette University. He was founder and CEO of RTMS, Inc., a customer management software company. He serves as a director for the Angel Capital Association of Washington D.C., and for First Business Bank - Milwaukee and is Chairman of Taliesin Preservation in Spring Green, WI. He began his career at GE Healthcare and is a graduate of Seattle and Marquette Universities.
