First Business Bank, in conjunction with the A.C. Nielson Center for Marketing Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, has conducted the sixth annual economic survey specific to Dane County businesses. Over 500 Dane County business owners were surveyed on economic indicators critical for decisions in today�s competitive environment. This seminar offers the results and implications of this study which enable you and other executives to make informed business decisions for the coming year. Scott Converse, Director at UW-Madison School of Business, will present the findings and implications of the 2008 survey. He will identify trends in which local business owners report as actual and forecasted: sales revenue, production/operating costs, capital expenditures, profitability, staffing and wages. He will also cover operating capacity, performance compared to expectations, and business projections. A panel discussion including audience participation will follow. The event will be moderated by former local newscaster Wendy Warren Grapentine with the following expert panelists participating:

In September and October of 2010, Dane County business owners, CEOs, and CFOs participated in the eighth annual First Business Economic Survey. The survey asked respondents to evaluate the current, and predict the future performance of their businesses on eight key economic indicators: sales revenue, operating costs, capital expenditures, profitability, staffing, wages, pricing, and operating capacity. On December 8, the 2010 survey results will be presented to the public by Scott Converse, Director at The Fluno Center for Executive Education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Scott will discuss what Dane County business leaders shared about their results for 2010 and their predictions for 2011. A panel discussion, moderated by former local newscaster Wendy Warren Grapentine, will follow. 2010 panelists include:
