Our mission is to provide premium service and the highest quality products that meet our clients' financial needs. Our clients tell us the First Business difference is personalized attention, fast turnaround on decisions, knowledgeable people, and access to top decision makers.
First Business strives to exceed the expectations of our clients, stockholders, directors, employees, and regulators. Our Statement of Beliefs lists attitudes and actions which we believe are important to all those we work with — whether it be clients, fellow employees, or the community. These beliefs are continual reminders reinforced through training of what we have to do "day to day" to be a successful, high quality organization. The Statement of Beliefs is used in conjunction with our mission and ethics statements in order to achieve quality management throughout the entire company.
Community involvement is extremely important to the individuals who work at First Business. That's why we encourage our employees to volunteer in their local communities and offer opportunities for employees to support the community as a group. In fact, First Business employees volunteer their free time to 154 different local organizations and sit on 76 local boards and committees. First Business is actively involved with United Way through an annual corporate campaign and the Annual United Way Days of Caring. First Business has sponsored a number of local events and organizations including Business Day in Madison, the Cystic Fibrosis Golf Outing, the MS Bike Ride, and March of Dimes. Recent contributions include a multi-year commitment of $80,000 to the Boys & Girls Club, Madison Community Foundation’s Great Performance Fund, and the Collaboration Council. In 2008, First Business was awarded the Wisconsin Corporate Citizenship Award, being recognized for exemplary employee relations and charitable donations to the community!
