First Business strives to exceed the expectations of our clients, stockholders, directors, employees, and regulators. Our Statement of Beliefs lists attitudes and actions which we believe are important to all those we work with - whether it be clients, fellow employees, or the community. These beliefs are continual reminders reinforced through training of what we have to do "day to day" to be a successful, high quality organization. The Statement of Beliefs is used in conjunction with our mission and ethics statements in order to achieve quality management throughout the entire company.
First Business employees volunteer their free time to many local organizations and sit on several non-profit and professional association boards and committees in all of the markets that we serve. First Business is actively involved with the United Way through an annual corporate campaign and the Annual United Way Days of Caring. Each year, First Business sponsors several local events and organizations and makes significant monetary contributions to local non-profits in our community. In 2011, the First Business Invitational for Charity golf event was started - a winner takes all event - and in 2012, the winning team played for the American Family Children's Hospital, taking home $45,000. In 2008, First Business was awarded the Wisconsin Corporate Citizenship Award, being recognized for exemplary employee relations and charitable donations to the community.
