Joan Burke has been President of First Business Trust & Investments since its inception and has overall responsibility for all aspects of the business, including asset management and the quality delivery of service to clients. Joan brings to the company over 30 years of experience in trust, investment management, mutual fund management and brokerage services. Prior to joining First Business Trust & Investments, she was president and CEO of several financial companies owned by the Johnson family in Racine. Most of her years of trust and investment experience were with the United Bank/Valley Bank/Trust Company Organization where she was a regional manager and Executive Vice President.
Joan serves community business and not-for-profit organizations in many capacities. She is currently on the Finance Committee of the Madison Community Foundation, the Finance Committee of the Attic Angel Association, and the Finance Committee of the Benedictine Women of Madison. Joan acts as a Trustee of the Support Organization for Madison Cultural Arts District (SOMCAD), serves as board member of the Meriter Foundation, is a board member and officer of HospiceCare, Inc., and is a Meriter Health Services board member. She completed her undergraduate work and also received her Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
